Sad news for our rescue boy Devon

This should be a happy post but sadly it is not. I have been wanting to post but it was too upsetting. This lovely video is of Devon in his home. Yes he finally got a home and it was going beautifully. He had finally made it but fate was about to rear her ugly head. He was there 4 weeks and I wanted to make sure it was going to stick before posting and it appeared it was going to. He was so happy and they were happy with him and he behaved beautifully. Alas he started to bleed from his bottom and on further investigations it was found he had cancer that had spread everywhere and there was nothing to be done. My only consolation was that he was in a home those last few weeks but am so angry at the world and just another sign that there is no greater design, its all just chaos out there. Thank you so much to Trudie James and Doris Banham Dog Rescue for all their help with him. I really loved this boy and wished for a better outcome RIP beautiful Devon, this crap world didn't deserve you.

Pico has arrived in Bangkok

 Pico has arrived in Bangkok to get ready for his flight. Thank you everyone who made this happen for him. It has been confirmed he is a very sweet boy.

Meet Brad Pitt

 

Brad Pitt is a 13 week old male Cross-Breed. He is as you see beautiful hence his name. He is mischievous as a puppy is going to be and he will be on the larger size of medium we think. He is fostered in Oxfordshire and another dog a definite plus. He would be too much for a shy cat or small children.

HELP Foster pulled out leaving this bonded pair without anywhere to go. If you are in UK and able to help with that or their travel funds see screenshot. They need secure garden 6ft fence and probably child free home as history unknown. This is Hansel and Gretel, these little things were in Pallady the infamous Romanian public shelter. They could travel to the UK on the 9th but there are two issues. Firstly I thought they had a foster offer and the foster was fixing their fence but now been told it's not happening and secondly the funds need to be raised, £200 each for transport and £60 each for passport and prep. Meet little Gatsby in Ethiopia

Meet little Gatsby in Ethiopia; he was the pup of a family living there and when the coronavirus crisis hit they went back to their country and left him on the street. We dont know who they were or where they were from but the local people said it was a rich family and they left him. He was on the streets and got hit already by a car and the thought of him once being a loved pup and then thrown out on the street is horrendous. Shame on those people, I could never leave somewhere without my dog. Anyway, AAI are going to take him to the UK and Simone a lady who lives and rescues there has had him picked up and arranged a foster family(pics to follow) for him. He has been to the vets and is full of ticks and worms and being treated for them as we speak. Ethiopia sounds like the hardest place we have ever rescued from, no infastructure, no x ray machines or ultrasound and def no labs for blood testing etc. Gatsby is now safe and hopefully if all goes well coming to the UK to be homed in a few months. We will be trying to help the organisation out there as it sounds horrendous .

Remember little Queenie?

Remember little Queenie who was rescued off Gumtree by AAI, she looked like a rommie , although turned out not to be and tugged at the heartstrings. Well she got very lucky and was adopted today by her fosterers , love failed fosters. She is now called Cobie and will be a loved family member, have a great life Queenie/Cobie

Can you offer Hector and Izzy a forever home together?

We are family I got my bruv and sister with me........ Ektoras and Ismini are two 9 year old Greekies brother and sister who were dumped at the shelter as pups and have spent their whole lives there sadly. They have come to the UK and found their English names to be Hector and Izzy and are looking for that special person to offer them a home together. They are so loving and quiet and seems like always lived in a home. They love the comfort and are clean in the house and walk well on a lead. They are dog friendly but not cat tested. They are fostered in South East London

Meet this little girl I am rescuing In Dominos Name

I lost my beautiful boy Domino (the last picture) this time last year. I miss him so badly even after a year and he still breaks my heart. I have looked for another dog to rescue in his name and found this girl in Palladay. I wanted it to be a scruffy black and white one. So, am setting up a fund to get her out and to the UK. DEVON is still looking for a foster offer

DEVON is still looking for a foster offer. For those unaware he was rescued, in a terrible state off gum tree before he was given what sounded suspiciously like dog fighters. He had tumours growing everywhere, a long term put of control skin condition and entropian and has lived in constant pain and irritation for years. AAI have sorted his medical conditions but he is still stuck in kennels and at 8 years old he doesn't have long as this breed typically live 8 to 10 years. Can anyone offer a lifeline, we don't really know how he will be in a home so a child and pet free offer would be ideal. It's a big ask as few people want to help these type of dogs sadly. Sheppy from Albania

This is Sheppy from Albania. This boy is killing me, I travelled to Albania to pick him up for another rescue and lovely Bert for my rescue. He was a total joy to travel with, friendly and loving to everyone he met and a real lovebug. He got a home very quickly, well look at him and he knows how to play people as you can see. Sadly after a few weeks in his home he started to guard them, thought he was protecting his family but this got him returned. It is hard for me to imagine him doing anything bad has he was so good on the journey and at my house. So, he is back in kennels and this is killing me as he really is a lovely boy and needs and is desperate for love. He is a large size boy as you can see and good with other dogs, he even lived with a little shitsu in his home. I really need to get him out of kennels now and have said will take him under our rescue but really need a foster offer, obviously with some experience and no cats PLEASE SHARE.  #k9hour #rescue

This little cutie came into rescue yesterday. She is 12 years old and has spent her life in a crate used as a breeding machine. She can't walk far and her breath stinks so am sure she has dental problems. 

The lovely lady that rescued her from the caravan she living in had to give her 4 baths to get her clean and had her overgrown nails cut. Thanks so much Kerri Comerford for bringing her to me on your day off and doing the drive and Rose Rose for offering to foster.

Do you have a space on your sofa for Olive?

Goodness I am beautiful, even if I do say so myself. I really cant understand why I haven't got a forever home yet. Just look at me for pity's sake, who in their right mind wouldn't want me in their family. It is true I do have a few issues but Ii was attacked with a machete in Thailand so it is understandable. Most people I like and am friendly to if they give me space when I first meet them and let me come to them, which I do with glee mostly. Sometimes a person with a stick that we pass in the street will frighten me and I might go to nip them but its only because I am fearful after what happened. I ignore other dogs, if they ignore me and will have a little bark if they don't but I am living with four other dogs and my foster mum is continually having other dogs coming and going, which is annoying as I think I deserve all the attention but she's selfish like that. I hate cats, they are annoying creatures and I will relentlessly chase them if I get the chance. My foster mum says am a character and a right little madam. I think I am perfect though and actually think I deserve to be the only dog to get all the attention and fuss and ball playing, which I would expect from any applicants, no ball playing, no Olive (that's my name). I am an old lady called Cassie, am not sure why my owner dumped me in a public shelter because I loved him and I think I was a good dog. Did he die maybe? Or did he just get bored of me? I am a bit quiet and not a bundle of fun like a puppy but I have a true heart and give lots of love to my carers. I hope I am not too boring now and that no one will adopt me. All I want is a sofa and to escape Romania and the shelter before this Brexit thing that people keep talking about that will maybe stop me finding a home and I might have to stay here forever. Happy Christmas Oscar
