We need to talk about Toby!

This is Toby boy, he was sent over to AAI as a blind boy as I have a soft spot for them.. Once here we discovered he is not blind and he has some behavioural issues. He is an old dog and larger than these pics show and probably lived outside all his life, a possible guard dog. He needs some work and that means kennel fees. I completely forgot about Marigold and woke up in a panic about her!

 

So we everything going on, we have 3 dogs in and out of the vets at mo and 2 in the process of being given up, owner surrenders and 1 about to be put to sleep. I completely forgot about Marigold and woke up in a panic about her. She scored a foster and is due to leave Romania on 10th. Shes a 4 month old pup and dont want her to miss this chance. These five dogs all need sponsoring this month. They have all been taken out of the cruel public shelters in Romania and are currently in private shelters in Romania until we can raise the funds for their travel to the UK. It is really hard for us when sponsors don't pay and to be honest am thinking of stopping taking dogs from the public shelter with sponsors because of it and only take the ones we can directly afford which we greatly reduce the number of dogs we can save but will solve the issue of not being able to pay for the dogs in the private shelters. Its not fair on the private shelter owners either as they all have rent and workers to pay as well. I will be setting up a buy it now sale for these dogs so hopefully can raise their funds for a couple of months and get them over in the mean time but if you can help and donate please do to  If you can donate please www.paypal.me/AAInt  and mark The five.

Urgent Can you help Bric and Brac come to the UK?

Meet Bric 'n' Brac who were taken out of Breasta, Romania a few months ago; Bric has bagged himself a foster, who loves collies, Brac is looking for a foster home. I am told both are nice dogs and good with other dogs. They can both can travel on the 9th, I am determined to make it happen, Bric is definately leaving if the prep and transport can be raised.

URGENT KENNEL APPEAL

URGENT KENNEL APPEAL
We now have 23 dogs in kennels awaiting their forever home. This winter has been an exceptionally busy time as we have had so many emergency requests from shelters across Europe to get dogs to safety especially given the huge uncertainties with regulations after BREXIT.
As you know we have some amazing foster families but these are in seriously short supply so the only option we have is to pay for kennel boarding fees while the dogs await their forever home. As you know we are working night and day to find families and we are so blessed knowing the overwhelming majority have found the most amazing loving homes any dog could wish for
The total number of dogs in kennels is 23.
The total monthly bill is £1000 and this is really draining our funds.
Many of you do support AAI with monthly donations and these are so appreciated as they are a lifeline. Sadly, even these are not covering all the kennel costs, we have about £100 a month of that covered at present, if anyone wants to join the monthly donation list please let me know

Meet this little girl I am rescuing In Dominos Name

I lost my beautiful boy Domino (the last picture) this time last year. I miss him so badly even after a year and he still breaks my heart. I have looked for another dog to rescue in his name and found this girl in Palladay. I wanted it to be a scruffy black and white one. So, am setting up a fund to get her out and to the UK. Can you sponsor BlackJack?

This is Blackjack who came to the UK a couple of years ago. He is an oldie, maybe 12 years old now and unfortunately although most of the time a beautiful and loving boy he is unpredictable and can bite and have decided it is not safe to re-home him. He is however in a lovely setting and although technically kennels spends a lot of time running around fields so is perfectly happy and is fine with his carers there. Can you foster Percy?

This little chap was found sleeping rough on the streets of Romania, cold and lonely. Luckily for him he found himself rescued but still in a cold pen in Romania. I have called him Percy and will bring him to the UK as soon as a foster is found. He is small and cute and friendly and 2 years old, good with dogs and people. She has been there a whole year now and my heart is breaking for her. She is a little nervous but no aggression in her. She is black and I fear no one will offer as she is not small and cute or amazingly pretty. I think black dogs are beautiful but never ever get offers to foster them when put up. Sarah has been waiting in a shelter in Romania now for nearly a year

This is Sarah, she has been waiting in a shelter in Romania now for nearly a year for someone to help her. She was initially taken out by mistake as the dog wanted was Snoopy but when this was discovered another 'rescuer' said they would take her on as she couldn't go back and even got a sponsor for the first three months which was not paid. Anyway I have said we will take her and will need to raise her transport but first we need a foster offer for her. She is shy but nothing nasty about her at all and just will need someone with patience and a secure house and love to give her. Nov. 2018 - 2 friends, super gentle young boys waiting for help in Pallady public shelter. Were adopted by some local people from an adoption event but returned because not accepted by other dogs. They are sweet and desperate after humans. - Pallady public shelter, Bucharest, romania

This is little Floppy, taken out of the awful public shelter of Milhesti, his sibling didn't make it. Now a really good rescue in the UK has offered him a place for rehoming and we need to raise the funds for him to go £190 for transport and traces kennels and £60 for prep. Urgent Sponsor needed for this Kosovo pup on the streets!

We have been asked to help this pup in Kosovo, he is wandering the streets and only a few months old. It is very dangerous for these types of dogs in Kosovo as they are frequently taken off the streets and used for dog fighting. This little lad is very sad but being fed by a girl there but she has no solution for him. To help him we will need reliable sponsors, the pension cost is 50 euro a month and can be split between 2 or 3 or even 4 but it will take 5 months for this pup to come as they are outside of the EU. Arnold was dumped on the streets of Bucharest

This is little Arnold, he was dumped on the streets of Bucharest and I was asked if our rescue would take him. Sadly we then found out why he was dumped as he has hip dysplasia. He has been going to weekly hyrotherapy sessions which has run up a bill along with his pension. Together with his prep and transport we need to raise approx. £500.
