Romania is no place for an old blind dog.

 

This poor old boy is coming to AAI on the 16th from Romania. He is blind and a shelter is no place for an old blind dog. He is looking g for an experienced foster with obviously no kids or cats. He has come on well with Rodica who has been caring for him and just needs a warm safe place.

HELP Foster pulled out leaving this bonded pair without anywhere to go. If you are in UK and able to help with that or their travel funds see screenshot. They need secure garden 6ft fence and probably child free home as history unknown. This is Hansel and Gretel, these little things were in Pallady the infamous Romanian public shelter. They could travel to the UK on the 9th but there are two issues. Firstly I thought they had a foster offer and the foster was fixing their fence but now been told it's not happening and secondly the funds need to be raised, £200 each for transport and £60 each for passport and prep. Calvin and Ginny are looking for a home together

 

These two beautiful dogs are looking for a home together. They are both older but not too old 7ish and still active. Calvin is the black and white collie cross boy and Ginny is the lab cross girl. Calvin is super laid back and a gentleman. Ginny is more active and can bark at other dogs on the lead when out but is fine with the other dogs in the house and is a cuddle bug.   No cats or children please, they are not good with cats and no children just because they are older and deserve a nice calm house although they do live at the moment with a 13 year old and are around the fosters grandchildren. Meet little Gatsby in Ethiopia

Meet little Gatsby in Ethiopia; he was the pup of a family living there and when the coronavirus crisis hit they went back to their country and left him on the street. We dont know who they were or where they were from but the local people said it was a rich family and they left him. He was on the streets and got hit already by a car and the thought of him once being a loved pup and then thrown out on the street is horrendous. Shame on those people, I could never leave somewhere without my dog. Anyway, AAI are going to take him to the UK and Simone a lady who lives and rescues there has had him picked up and arranged a foster family(pics to follow) for him. He has been to the vets and is full of ticks and worms and being treated for them as we speak. Ethiopia sounds like the hardest place we have ever rescued from, no infastructure, no x ray machines or ultrasound and def no labs for blood testing etc. Gatsby is now safe and hopefully if all goes well coming to the UK to be homed in a few months. We will be trying to help the organisation out there as it sounds horrendous .

Meet Kathy

Kathy had a few issues when she arrived from Romania and at the moment is being assessed- she is super sweet with people but she is going for the other dogs in the home. She is young and needs some lead training so a no pet foster with secure garden needed, note very people friendly but not child tested. She is fostered in Essex but can travel. I like humans but they dont seem to like me very much here. I am an old lady called Cassie, am not sure why my owner dumped me in a public shelter because I loved him and I think I was a good dog. Did he die maybe? Or did he just get bored of me? I am a bit quiet and not a bundle of fun like a puppy but I have a true heart and give lots of love to my carers. I hope I am not too boring now and that no one will adopt me. We were asked to help this dog called Luca in Crete in January, a place I spent a good part of my youth in so is close to my heart. Although beautiful, I know what a shit hole it is for animals. Dogs have been found hanging from a tree in the same region.

URGENT Gracie needs an emergency foster!

Poor Gracie is looking for an emergency foster to save her going to kennels, this will destroy her as she has only known a home since she has been here She has been in her home for a year and a half but is being returned due to owner circumstances changing. She was in foster with me at first and OK with my dogs. She is in London/Kent area but can travel. Please PM if you can help as she needs somewhere by Monday. She is not child or cat tested.

UPDATE: Gracie in danger, put to sleep has been mentioned. She needs out super fast and have been unable to find another foster home. She has been offered a place for £10 a night but the rescue has no funds. Can you foster Percy?

This little chap was found sleeping rough on the streets of Romania, cold and lonely. Luckily for him he found himself rescued but still in a cold pen in Romania. I have called him Percy and will bring him to the UK as soon as a foster is found. He is small and cute and friendly and 2 years old, good with dogs and people. Please someone offer foster for this little chap, he wont even be with you long as am sure will fly out.

Poor little Arnold was dumped on the streets of Bucharest

Poor little Arnold was dumped on the streets of Bucharest and thankfully was found by a lovely Romanian who asked us to take him. We found out why as he has dysplasia and he is being treated with hydrotherapy and hopefully will avoid an operation. We have raised so far £200 but still need to raise need to raise a massive £300 approx. but this is for his treatment and prep and travel to the UK and we want to get him here before the harsh winter comes. Snoopy has broken his leg and needs your help!

This is little Snoopy he is a gorgeous dog who could have found a home quickly. He is in foster and has broken his leg, not sure how but means we can't rehome. The fosters husband, after the dog breaking his leg in their care is now saying if not out will put in an RSPCA centre tomorrow.
