Sarah is a 5 year old black lab cross

 

Sarah is a 5 year old black lab cross, she has been in foster with us for nearly 2 years and has come on greatly but she needs a home with someone experienced and patient to carry on her development. She was not originally an AAI dog but was abandoned in a shelter in Romania by the person that originally rescued her and so we couldnt bear to think of her stranded there. She has PTSD and has had some trauma in her life and needs a quiet home with someone around most of the time. Her issues are manageable (no aggression) and for someone wanting a quiet, occasionally silly lump she is perfect. No other pets and no children. She doesn't go on walks (due to her fear) so will need a secure garden. She is fostered in Suffolk and several meetings are needed.

Can you foster Jet?

My name is Jett, I guess because I am black but never thought about it that much. I am a lovely boy and dont know why I found myself in that hell hole of a public shelter in Romania. I like humans but they dont seem to like me very much here. I am not small and cute and am told being black it will be harder for me to persuade anyone to give me a chance and offer me a foster home in the UK but I am hopeful. Rosie has been in foster over a year and she needs to find her forever home.Rosie Posy’s gentle soul shines through her nervousness and fear. She's a glossy, long legged beauty who will be very loyal once you understand her and gain her trust. Given a caring, compassionate home she will make a wonderful companion. She is still a work in progress but perfect for those looking to build a strong bond through training, consistency, patience and a sense of humour. Rosie is capable of giving years of joy; she has already mastered the enthusiastic ‘welcome home dance’. She loves to be a couch potato now she has somewhere comfy to practice the art, she enjoys playing having learnt how great it can be and she is open to bribery and corruption when needed with the right food incentive (Edam please).
So far Rosie has somewhat overcome her incredible fear and hard background to learn many things, some basic commands including ‘wait’, ‘off’, ‘up’, ‘come here’, etc. and some tricks like giving paw, stand and touch. However, despite her brilliance, I suspect she may always be of a nervous disposition...the hoover is never going to be a friend. She hasn’t mastered 'sit' yet as she doesn’t naturally do it often, I think being quite long legged it’s not a comfortable position for her so I haven’t pushed it. She is now house-trained and will let you know in a very subtle way when she needs to go, although it’s not often...I think she's part camel frankly. She will need to be given plenty of time to settle in a new place and to learn what you want from her, but she’s smart and will have you dancing to her tune very quickly.

This is Blackjack who came to the UK a couple of years ago. He is an oldie, maybe 12 years old now and unfortunately although most of the time a beautiful and loving boy he is unpredictable and can bite and have decided it is not safe to re-home him. He is however in a lovely setting and although technically kennels spends a lot of time running around fields so is perfectly happy and is fine with his carers there. Usually we pay his £265 monthly kennel bill with an adoption fee but Xmas has put a scupper on that this month so if anyone can donate anything to keep him safe in his retreat please paypal animaladoptioninternationational@yahoo.com and mark Blackjack, please help us keep this lovely old boy safe

Oscar opening his Xmas box on Xmas day. He is being temp housed with Louise and will move to his foster in the New Year and he says Happy Holidays to everyone that helped me on my way.

Jessie and Teo are two lovely friendly year old pups looking for a forever home. They are being advertised separately and of course if the right homes come up will do that but have been talking to the foster and would love if possible for them to find a home together as they get on so well and have been together months now. They are both lovely and friendly with people dogs and children, not cat tested and fostered in Harrogate. Please can we have a big big share to see if we can make this happen as would be a dream come true.

BlackJack, who has waited so long, has bagged himself a home at last.

Some good news, BlackJack, who has waited so long, a year and a half I believe has bagged himself a home at last. He is an old boy with a few issues, he doesn't like his collar touched and can bite due to fear, I suspect from his experiences with the dog catcher. He was adopted a few months ago but returned but his new adopter is well experienced with difficult dogs and although he has this issue is generally a love bug and wants cuddles. Thank you Alison for looking after him all this time and putting up with his stinkiness when he arrived. Have a fabulous life Black Jack

Would anyone like to do a good deed for the new year and offer this poor girl a foster home. Sarah was taken out of a Romanian shelter and then abandoned by the rescuer. She has been there a whole year now and my heart is breaking for her. She is a little nervous but no aggression in her. She is black and I fear no one will offer as she is not small and cute or amazingly pretty. I think black dogs are beautiful but never ever get offers to foster them when put up. Sarah has been waiting in a shelter in Romania now for nearly a year

This is Sarah, she has been waiting in a shelter in Romania now for nearly a year for someone to help her. She was initially taken out by mistake as the dog wanted was Snoopy but when this was discovered another 'rescuer' said they would take her on as she couldn't go back and even got a sponsor for the first three months which was not paid. Anyway I have said we will take her and will need to raise her transport but first we need a foster offer for her. She is shy but nothing nasty about her at all and just will need someone with patience and a secure house and love to give her. Urgent Fundraiser!!

This is Jessy a sweet little pup we had pulled from the disgusting kill shelter Mihailesti Bucharest a few months ago. She's been safe in shelter  since then and now her time has come to foster with our experienced puppy fosterer. A transport space came up quickly now Loraine has space and so she's due to travel this Friday!

£190 for her ticket to her new life is needed plus there will be money to pay for internal transport Sheffield Kennels to foster in Harrogate (transport volunteer required). We also must pay off her preparation passporting vaccines etc so approx £250 needed.
