Little Milo has had a chequered life. He was rescued a few years ago from a camp where he lived his entire life in a crate. He was a mess when he came into rescue, hugely overweight with an untreated thyroid issue, bad teeth and luctating patella. Many vet trips later he was living his best life when recently disaster struck and he collapsed with a bad back. He was rushed to the vet who said he needed an operation NOW and the longer left the less chance of recovery. We got him an appointment at a specialist, it was bank holiday so that in itself was a miracle. After an MRI he was diagnosed with a slipped disc and if not operated on he would be left paralysed from the neck down. It was that or put to sleep so we went for the operation which cost £7500. We started fundraising immediately and paid a deposit but need to pay Milos bill off. Please help if you can, any amount helps and share for him . MILO DESERVES THE BEST.

This is Toby boy, he was sent over to AAI as a blind boy as I have a soft spot for them.. Once here we discovered he is not blind and he has some behavioural issues. He is an old dog and larger than these pics show and probably lived outside all his life, a possible guard dog. He needs some work and that means kennel fees. I completely forgot about Marigold and woke up in a panic about her!

 

So we everything going on, we have 3 dogs in and out of the vets at mo and 2 in the process of being given up, owner surrenders and 1 about to be put to sleep. I completely forgot about Marigold and woke up in a panic about her. She scored a foster and is due to leave Romania on 10th. Shes a 4 month old pup and dont want her to miss this chance. Poor Walter's Dental problems!

 

So in the last 2 and a half weeks AAI have had 6 owner surrenders and guess what, everyone needed major vet treatment. Our vet has been wonderful and did one very urgent one for free and two more majorly discounted. Little Walter here came in as a surrender due to owner moving in with partner and resident dog not liking him. Yeah right, the poor little things teeth were, quote from vet one of the worst ever seen and he had huge infections and had to have 20 teeth out. He is also constantly peeing and eating way too much for a teacup which is ominous and will need further investigation. His bill for teeth is £457 and will rise and don't feels hugely comfortable going for more treatment with this bill outstanding. Animal Adoption International Xmas fundraiser for Velvet's mum

This is a very sad Animal Adoption International Xmas fundraiser we are having this year and one we definately didn't want to have. It is for little Velvet, who was adopted two and a half years ago with her sister Perla from Greece. She has had the most amazing two and a half years with her mum Noreen but a few weeks ago fell very sick. After tests it was found that she had chronic ehrlichia, even though she tested negative in Greece, the vet thinks that by a fluke she was bitten after the test. She showed no signs until she fell sick and although her mum tried absolutely everything, she had three blood transfusions, bone marrow biopsey and countless meds, it was no good. Little Velvet didnt make it leaving her mum Noreen and sister Perla devastated. This is a horrible thing to happen at anytime but just before Xmas when you are looking forward to time off with your loved ones, devastating. There is nothing we can do now for little Velvet but we would very much like to take some strain off her mum who has been left with an £8000 debt on her credit cards which will rise with interest. It is the only thing we can do now for her and feel so bad that although money is nothing when it comes to saving your loved pet, to have such a huge bill and still she dies is horrendous. I know it is near Xmas but if anyone can donate please do and if you cant if you could add just one person to the fundraiser it could help. Thank you

This is Jessy a sweet little pup we had pulled from the disgusting kill shelter Mihailesti Bucharest a few months ago. She's been safe in shelter  since then and now her time has come to foster with our experienced puppy fosterer. A transport space came up quickly now Loraine has space and so she's due to travel this Friday!

Bailey needs help! Just look at this beautiful soppy friendly boy. He has waited in a pen for over a year waiting for an opportunity to come to the UK for a chance at life. He was pulled him out of Mihailesti public shelter (a horrific death camp and one I will never forget visiting ) and so we have taken up the job of overseeing his future. He has a chance to go to a lovely rescue centre we know well for rehoming but we must raise his transport funds. Unsure of the exact cost right now as will depend on cost of internal uk transport to the centre on top of transport from Romania but with prep too looking at around the £300 mark.

We have been really struggling recently with donations. Poor little Arnold was dumped on the streets of Bucharest

Poor little Arnold was dumped on the streets of Bucharest and thankfully was found by a lovely Romanian who asked us to take him. We found out why as he has dysplasia and he is being treated with hydrotherapy and hopefully will avoid an operation. We have raised so far £200 but still need to raise need to raise a massive £300 approx. but this is for his treatment and prep and travel to the UK and we want to get him here before the harsh winter comes. Dolly is a 7 year old little darling

Dolly is a 7 year old little darling who was being kept in a yard and being fed only every few days until Ana Maria Tonchevici rescued her. Since then she's waited in a pen for a chance at a home. The lovely Crissie Chambers will be fostering her for us and she has a shot at a real life under our rescue if we can raise the £300 needed for her prep passport etc and transport to UK. This is little Arnold, he was dumped on the streets of Bucharest and I was asked if our rescue would take him. Sadly we then found out why he was dumped as he has hip dysplasia. This is Rocky. Rocky is a 4+ year old staffy boy who was taken to the vets to be put to sleep by his owners. Luckily the vets contacted our rescue and we have placed him in a fab foster.
