There are many ways to help abused, injured and neglected dogs around the world through Animal Adoption International.
These are Adoption, Fostering, Sponsoring, a one off donation, by donating unwanted items to our fundraisers, and even by liking and sharing our social media posts to spread the word. Every little helps! All our animals have been saved and helped by you and the animals we have saved would not happen without you so thank you all so, so much for your support!

We match an adopter to a suitable dog for example based on temperament lifestyle etc…so please contact us even if you aren’t enquiring about a particular animal. Foster a dog
You may want the shorter term option of Fostering one of our dogs. Fostering Most fosterers have their own resident dogs and some of our fosterers have children and cats for dogs that can live with them. We only ask fosterers to provide love care training and food. All bills are covered by the rescue. If you could offer a space for a needy animal to “crash with you for a while” please contact us get in touch. (All adopters and fosters will be home checked.) Sponsoring a dog means that your donation will go towards Animal Adoption International’s efforts helping the neglected and abused animals of the world. Your gift of sponsorship is used to help your sponsored dog and all the other animals we care for to provide shelter, food & medicine and veterinary care. £2.00 will sponsor her food & shelter for a day £10.00 for a week and £40.00 for a month. Bonnie and Clyde (2/11/20)Harrogate, England Bonnie and Clyde are two lovely 3 year old collie crosses looking for their forever home. Clyde is the bouncy one of the 2 and Bonnie the quiet one so they compliment each other perfectly. Although they are fostered with other dogs they would prefer to be the only dogs and def no cats. Clyde can be bouncy so no children under 12 although visiting ones fine who are well behaved. They are house and lead trained and looking for love. They are fostered in Harrogate, please share.

Markos is 9 years old pointer cross

Markos 01/08/20-EnglandMarkos is 9 years old pointer cross that has spent most of his life in a Greek shelter. He’s now looking for his forever home to enjoy the life he deserves. He adores people and cuddles and is a seriously lovely boy, perfect for a pet-free family. Markos doesn’t like male dogs and can only be with some female dogs, so he’s better rehomed with no dogs at all. He has a high prey drive as per his breed so no cats or small furries please. He would be better suited to people who are around a lot (working from home all the time and not just for Covid-19) or retired but still active. Markos is clean in the house and walks well on a lead and still needs a fair bit of exercise. He would love a largish secure garden for his retirement. Am sure he would be good with visiting children as he loves them when he meets them but as with all our older dogs we think they deserve a quieter life and so wont be considering a home with children. Bric 'n' Brac 01/08/20Bric and Brac update, both are doing well in their foster homes. Bric is still very nervous but slowly coming out of herself and relaxing. Brac has had some medical issues and Is very nervous of men but also getting there. They are both from Breasta public shelter in Romania, a hell hole on earth. Neither are ready for rehoming as yet but are at least safe and happy. Sponsors needed for Selena 4/04/20This is Selena, she is a rescue from Romania who came over a couple of years ago and is in long term foster due to developing epilepsy after she arrived. In this difficult time AAI is looking for some sponsors for some of the ling term dogs that can't be rehomed. Selena costs the rescue £40 a month for her epilepsy pills and wondering if one, two , three or four people could sponsor her for three months. I am a lovely boy and dont know why I found myself in that hell hole of a public shelter in Romania. I like humans but they dont seem to like me very much here. I am not small and cute and am told being black it will be harder for me to persuade anyone to give me a chance and offer me a foster home in the UK but I am hopeful. Olive is such a lovely girl, a 4 year old Basenji cross with a traumatic past. She was attacked with a machette while minding her own business in Thailand. Luckily for her she was rescued by a lovely English woman who lives out there. She struggled when she first arrived but with patience and love she has come through. Cheeky and fun loving she is looking for her perfect home. We feel that she would be best placed with older children who will understand her needing time to settle in. She would also be best as an only dog and not cat tested. She is fostered in the London area.

This is Sheppy from Albania. This boy is killing me, I travelled to Albania to pick him up for another rescue and lovely Bert for my rescue. He was a total joy to travel with, friendly and loving to everyone he met and a real lovebug. He got a home very quickly, well look at him and he knows how to play people as you can see. Sadly after a few weeks in his home he started to guard them, thought he was protecting his family but this got him returned. It is hard for me to imagine him doing anything bad has he was so good on the journey and at my house. So, he is back in kennels and this is killing me as he really is a lovely boy and needs and is desperate for love. He is a large size boy as you can see and good with other dogs, he even lived with a little shitsu in his home. He is sadly in Kennels now,I really need to get him out and have said will take him under our rescue but really need a foster offer, obviously with some experience and no cats PLEASE SHARE.

DEVON "the Gumtree Dog" 20.01.20Currently in in the UKDEVON a bull mastiff cross is still looking for a foster offer. For those unaware he was rescued, in a terrible state off Gumtree before he was given what sounded suspiciously like dog fighters. He had tumours growing everywhere, a long term put of control skin condition and entropian and has lived in constant pain and irritation for years. AAI have sorted his medical conditions but he is still stuck in kennels and at 8 years old he doesn't have long as this breed typically live 8 to 10 years. Can anyone offer a lifeline, we don't really know how he will be in a home so a child and pet free offer would be ideal. It's a big ask as few people want to help these type of dogs sadly. Can you sponsor BlackJack?This is Blackjack who came to the UK a couple of years ago. He is an oldie, maybe 12 years old now and unfortunately although most of the time a beautiful and loving boy he is unpredictable and can bite and have decided it is not safe to re-home him. He is however in a lovely setting and although technically kennels spends a lot of time running around fields so is perfectly happy and is fine with his carers there. Usually we pay his £265 monthly kennel bill with an adoption fee but Xmas has put a scupper on that this month so if anyone can donate anything to keep him safe in his retreat

Teddy is a six month old collie cross21/10/20 Essesx, England looking for his new home. He is initially extremely shy and will need an experienced home and someone with time and patience to help him settle in. He will warm up and then he loves you to bits. He will also need another confident dog for company. We think a home with no children or cats best. He is fostered in Essex and will need at least 3 meetings. Please share

Scared Girls Wilma & Pearl 9.03.20AAI are sadly very behind with kennel fees this month and these two girls need help to stay in their private shelter in Romania. They are way too scared to bring them to the UK without having somewhere they can go where we can be sure they will be worked with and not asked to be removed a few weeks or months down the line so the best thing at the moment is for them to stay where they are which at least we know is a good shelter where they are cared for. Sonia 9.03.20Sonia was taken out of the public shelter 2 years ago, very thin and sickly and no one realised she was a pit bull mix and so sadly can't come to the uk although is super friendly to people. She is in a nicer private shelter in Romania and gets out of her pen frequently but if anyone knows of any people in bully friendly countries please share for her.
