Beautiful little Lexa is now looking for her forever home.

Beautiful little Lexa is a little terrier now looking for her forever home. She is a 5 month old puppy, so naturally she has a cheeky and playful temperament. She loves cuddles, food and playing fetch and tug of war.She is a clever girl, who loves to learn and is fully house trained and sleeps through the night. She knows her basic commands like sit, down, recall and paw, but would benefit from a structured training programme. She is getting better at walking on a lead, but still gets very excited and pulls a lot, so her new humans will need to be happy to work on this with her. She loves other dogs, and would benefit from a family who have a young adult dog who will teach her manners, so we are ONLY looking for homes with other dogs. . She has a fairly high prey drive and is not good with cats. She will need a secure garden and space to run around. She is a wonderful dog who has so much love to give the right humans! Please email animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com only if seriously interested.

lovely Lulu has bagged herself a forever home

So lovely Lulu has bagged herself a forever home without even being advertised. She is quite special to me as she was taken out of the public shelter in Romania on the anniversary of Dominos death as she was black and white like hi lost my beautiful boy Domino (the last picture) this time last year. I miss him so badly even after a year and he still breaks my heart. I have looked for another dog to rescue in his name and found this girl in Palladay. I wanted it to be a scruffy black and white one. So I set up a fund to get her out and to the UK.

She has been fostered in the Uk for a couple of months and has settled in a dream. I was contacted by a lady who walks the dog of a couple who sadly lost one of their dogs a few months ago and since then their remaining dog has suffered serious separation anxiety sadly. They were looking for a no issue, doggy friendly, calm and loving companion for him and Lulu fits the bill to a tee. She goes to her new family on Wednesday and am sure she is going to have a great life. Thank you to everyone that donated and shared for her.

Meet little Gatsby in Ethiopia

Meet little Gatsby in Ethiopia; he was the pup of a family living there and when the coronavirus crisis hit they went back to their country and left him on the street. We dont know who they were or where they were from but the local people said it was a rich family and they left him. He was on the streets and got hit already by a car and the thought of him once being a loved pup and then thrown out on the street is horrendous. Shame on those people, I could never leave somewhere without my dog. Anyway, AAI are going to take him to the UK and Simone a lady who lives and rescues there has had him picked up and arranged a foster family(pics to follow) for him. He has been to the vets and is full of ticks and worms and being treated for them as we speak. Ethiopia sounds like the hardest place we have ever rescued from, no infastructure, no x ray machines or ultrasound and def no labs for blood testing etc. Gatsby is now safe and hopefully if all goes well coming to the UK to be homed in a few months. We will be trying to help the organisation out there as it sounds horrendous .

KELLI'S GONE HOME! - 3 SYROS DOGS LIVING HAPPILY EVER AFTER TOGETHER!...

So lovely Kelli who spent her whole life nearly in a Greek shelter has found a loving home with AAI foster Eleanor, lovely ending for her and she gets to live with her pals.

KELLI'S GONE HOME! - 3 SYROS DOGS LIVING HAPPILY EVER AFTER TOGETHER!...

Yep she's arrived!.. Beatiful 11 year old Kelli has just made the car trip across London from her wonderful foster home with Gill where she's spent the last 7 months. She's now in her forever family with her mum Eleanor & her best friends from Syros Ektoras & Ismini!!..

Three Greek dogs who spent 10+ years in the same kennel at the Syros Stray Animal Shelter / Καταφύγιο Αδέσποτων Ζώων Σύρου are now reunited & living together in their new retirement home in England!

We are so happy for these 3 seniors and can't believe they will all be together! They were best friends at the shelter & this is like a dream come true!

It definitely takes a "village" to make this happen so we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped along the way. Firstly to Virginia Preka & all the shelter voluneers from Syros who has cared & loved these dogs for so many years. A huge thank you to Niz Khan for re-homing these beautiful dogs in such a great family, to Gill Boot for providing the most wonderful foster environment & bringing Kelli out of her shell and to Eleanor Moss for opening her heart so widely & giving a beautiful loving home to 3 dogs from Greece whom she'd never met previously and providing them with a loving caring home.

The  video is Kelli's first hours in her new home with her old friends. She's the one with the red harness, they are all so alike "pea's in a pod"!

Eleanor has promised us more videos as Kelli settles and we will post them here for you all to enjoy.

Can you foster Jet?

My name is Jett, I guess because I am black but never thought about it that much. I am a lovely boy and dont know why I found myself in that hell hole of a public shelter in Romania. I like humans but they dont seem to like me very much here. I am not small and cute and am told being black it will be harder for me to persuade anyone to give me a chance and offer me a foster home in the UK but I am hopeful. I mean come on guys, really, look at me, Black is beautiful and I am soooo beautiful I think. Please give me a chance and PM my rescue contact here and offer a foster home PLEASE. I am fully funded to come so the only thing stopping me is that I have no where to go!!!! Please Email Niz Khan. At Animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com

DEVON is still looking for a foster offer

DEVON is still looking for a foster offer. For those unaware he was rescued, in a terrible state off gum tree before he was given what sounded suspiciously like dog fighters. He had tumours growing everywhere, a long term put of control skin condition and entropian and has lived in constant pain and irritation for years. AAI have sorted his medical conditions but he is still stuck in kennels and at 8 years old he doesn't have long as this breed typically live 8 to 10 years. Can anyone offer a lifeline, we don't really know how he will be in a home so a child and pet free offer would be ideal. It's a big ask as few people want to help these type of dogs sadly. Please share for Devon and PM if can help

Can you give 7 Year old Calvin a Forever home?

Go to the UK they said, find yourself a forever home they said, its easy they said???? I have been waiting months now and I think I am pretty damn handsome, even if I say so myself. I am not sure what I am doing wrong at all, I am nice to my foster people, nice to her dogs, cats are a pain in the a--e and would rather there were none. I don't poo in the house or chew anything, its just not fair. So, my name is Calvin and I am 7 years old and a collie cross still between homes in Harrogate and I would like a forever sofa. JEEZ come on people, is that too much to ask, please share for me.

Do you have a space on your sofa for Olive?

Goodness I am beautiful, even if I do say so myself. I really cant understand why I haven't got a forever home yet. Just look at me for pity's sake, who in their right mind wouldn't want me in their family. It is true I do have a few issues but Ii was attacked with a machete in Thailand so it is understandable. Most people I like and am friendly to if they give me space when I first meet them and let me come to them, which I do with glee mostly. Sometimes a person with a stick that we pass in the street will frighten me and I might go to nip them but its only because I am fearful after what happened. I ignore other dogs, if they ignore me and will have a little bark if they don't but I am living with four other dogs and my foster mum is continually having other dogs coming and going, which is annoying as I think I deserve all the attention but she's selfish like that. I hate cats, they are annoying creatures and I will relentlessly chase them if I get the chance. My foster mum says am a character and a right little madam. I think I am perfect though and actually think I deserve to be the only dog to get all the attention and fuss and ball playing, which I would expect from any applicants, no ball playing, no Olive (that's my name). Go on, hit the share button and help me out guys. Big thank you to Rebecca Rye Photography for the photo session which she was privileged to get from me. She does take fab doggy pics if anyone is interested. Please Email to Niz Khan. At Animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com

ADOPTED Can you foster or adopt Cassie?

I am an old lady called Cassie, am not sure why my owner dumped me in a public shelter because I loved him and I think I was a good dog. Did he die maybe? Or did he just get bored of me? I am a bit quiet and not a bundle of fun like a puppy but I have a true heart and give lots of love to my carers. I hope I am not too boring now and that no one will adopt me. All I want is a sofa and to escape Romania and the shelter before this Brexit thing that people keep talking about that will maybe stop me finding a home and I might have to stay here forever. Is there anyone that will foster me, I am fully funded to travel am told and just need that sofa offer. please share for me Please Email to Niz Khan. At Animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com

Could you adopt gentle Rosie?

Rosie Posy’s gentle soul shines through her nervousness and fear. She's a glossy, long legged beauty who will be very loyal once you understand her and gain her trust. Given a caring, compassionate home she will make a wonderful companion. She is still a work in progress but perfect for those looking to build a strong bond through training, consistency, patience and a sense of humour. Rosie is capable of giving years of joy; she has already mastered the enthusiastic ‘welcome home dance’. She loves to be a couch potato now she has somewhere comfy to practice the art, she enjoys playing having learnt how great it can be and she is open to bribery and corruption when needed with the right food incentive (Edam please).
So far Rosie has somewhat overcome her incredible fear and hard background to learn many things, some basic commands including ‘wait’, ‘off’, ‘up’, ‘come here’, etc. and some tricks like giving paw, stand and touch. However, despite her brilliance, I suspect she may always be of a nervous disposition...the hoover is never going to be a friend. She hasn’t mastered 'sit' yet as she doesn’t naturally do it often, I think being quite long legged it’s not a comfortable position for her so I haven’t pushed it. She is now house-trained and will let you know in a very subtle way when she needs to go, although it’s not often...I think she's part camel frankly. She will need to be given plenty of time to settle in a new place and to learn what you want from her, but she’s smart and will have you dancing to her tune very quickly.

She does shed but will now tolerate (secretly enjoys) being brushed for a while. Her pleasures now include having her ears scratched, her tummy rubbed and food. She had a rather sensitive stomach but is ok now she has mostly raw food (not the bought mince type like nutriment though). I’m happy to give a detailed list of food etc. to her new home and a starter pack if wished. It would be best for Rosie to be the only pet in the household. I also feel she would benefit from a smaller quiet family or person as she can find it daunting with too many options on whom to go to and seems to bond strongly with one person. At present she is not going for walks as having a harness and lead attached is too stressful for her so a good sized secure, dog friendly (digging areas) garden would be ideal, this may never change so you need to be prepared for a home comforts sort of dog.Prospective adopters are welcome to come visit her as often as they feel necessary in fact I think many visits would be best for all concerned. Please Email to Niz Khan. At Animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com
