Can you foster Beauty?

My name is Beauty and I have spent my four years on this planet on a short chain in Greece. Thankfully I am now at Syros animal shelter with some lovely ladies who rescued me. I have the chance to hitch a ride to the UK before Brexit on 24th am told. I don't need any funds just a foster home to call my own. I love people, even though have not been treated well and I hate cats. Please please help me, I want to know what it's like to be loved.

Belated Happy New Year from all at Animal Adoption Interntional

So, a belated happy new year to everyone. A big thank you to all the people who have supported AAI's work in one way or another, fostering, donating and sharing. We saved a lot of dogs and got them to their forever homes but lost some too and each one hurt a lot. The worst part of the year was of course losing Domino so suddenly with no warning, it has been nearly a year and I still cant believe he is gone, love you so much Dom. A close friend had cancer but luckily she has come through it so I guess for that have to be grateful. Numerous friends also lost their dogs and some human family members, both very traumatic. It has been a god awful year and am glad to see the back of it. So Happy New year all and hope 2020 is good to you and your families but a big two fingers up to 2019

ADOPTED Can you foster or adopt Cassie?

I am an old lady called Cassie, am not sure why my owner dumped me in a public shelter because I loved him and I think I was a good dog. Did he die maybe? Or did he just get bored of me? I am a bit quiet and not a bundle of fun like a puppy but I have a true heart and give lots of love to my carers. I hope I am not too boring now and that no one will adopt me. All I want is a sofa and to escape Romania and the shelter before this Brexit thing that people keep talking about that will maybe stop me finding a home and I might have to stay here forever. Is there anyone that will foster me, I am fully funded to travel am told and just need that sofa offer. please share for me Please Email to Niz Khan. At Animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com

This lovely old boy from Greece is looking for a retirement home

So Tony Blackburn made it to the UK yesterday and what a lovely old boy he is. He has spent just about all of his 11 years in a shelter in Greece but now he is here for retirement. It looks like he might be immediately adopted by his foster too, fingers crossed. Thank you to everyone who helped him on his way and to Syros animal shelter and the ladies there.

Could you adopt gentle Rosie?

Rosie Posy’s gentle soul shines through her nervousness and fear. She's a glossy, long legged beauty who will be very loyal once you understand her and gain her trust. Given a caring, compassionate home she will make a wonderful companion. She is still a work in progress but perfect for those looking to build a strong bond through training, consistency, patience and a sense of humour. Rosie is capable of giving years of joy; she has already mastered the enthusiastic ‘welcome home dance’. She loves to be a couch potato now she has somewhere comfy to practice the art, she enjoys playing having learnt how great it can be and she is open to bribery and corruption when needed with the right food incentive (Edam please).
So far Rosie has somewhat overcome her incredible fear and hard background to learn many things, some basic commands including ‘wait’, ‘off’, ‘up’, ‘come here’, etc. and some tricks like giving paw, stand and touch. However, despite her brilliance, I suspect she may always be of a nervous disposition...the hoover is never going to be a friend. She hasn’t mastered 'sit' yet as she doesn’t naturally do it often, I think being quite long legged it’s not a comfortable position for her so I haven’t pushed it. She is now house-trained and will let you know in a very subtle way when she needs to go, although it’s not often...I think she's part camel frankly. She will need to be given plenty of time to settle in a new place and to learn what you want from her, but she’s smart and will have you dancing to her tune very quickly.

She does shed but will now tolerate (secretly enjoys) being brushed for a while. Her pleasures now include having her ears scratched, her tummy rubbed and food. She had a rather sensitive stomach but is ok now she has mostly raw food (not the bought mince type like nutriment though). I’m happy to give a detailed list of food etc. to her new home and a starter pack if wished. It would be best for Rosie to be the only pet in the household. I also feel she would benefit from a smaller quiet family or person as she can find it daunting with too many options on whom to go to and seems to bond strongly with one person. At present she is not going for walks as having a harness and lead attached is too stressful for her so a good sized secure, dog friendly (digging areas) garden would be ideal, this may never change so you need to be prepared for a home comforts sort of dog.Prospective adopters are welcome to come visit her as often as they feel necessary in fact I think many visits would be best for all concerned. Can you give Blyton a home for Christmas?

I am sad because I have just had an eye removed and I don't have a sofa to sit on or a human to give me a cuddle and tell me I am going to feel better soon. The kennel people are nice but a kennel is a kennel and I am lonely now after Enid, my friend was lucky enough to find her forever home. All I want for Xmas is a foster home. I promise to give you lots of cuddles and to sit on your lap and to be kind to your other doggies if you have them. I am not sure how I will be with a cat though. My rescue also need to raise another £100 for the vet bill so if anyone wants to help them it is

PAYPAL: https://www.paypal.me/AAInt Blytons eye, the priority for me though is a lovely warm foster home please

Can you give Fetita a forever home?

Fetita is a 3 year old collie cross who is a little doll and looking for her forever home. She lives with a few other dogs and is good around them. She loves to play. Ignores the cats who are dog savvy cats. She is house trained and good on lead and a very friendly and loving little girl. She is best as an adult only house as although is fine with children seems a little scared of them so don't want to put that on her. She is fostered in Essex.
If you can help please email Niz: animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com ref  Fetita or contact via the Animal Adoption International facebook page Thank y

Luca is still looking for his forever home

Unbelievably Luca is still looking for his forever home. He is a beautiful, well behaved boy from Crete, two years old and a joy to be around. He is very friendly with people and dogs but doubt he will be cat friendly, so no cats. He must be homed with another dog we have decided as don't think he will be happy without one as very playful and loves other dogs so much. He is fostered in Guildford area and looking for his final home.
If you can help please email Niz: animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com ref  Luca or contact via the Animal Adoption International facebook page Thank you

Jessie and Teo are two lovely friendly year old pups looking for a forever home

Jessie and Teo are two lovely friendly year old pups looking for a forever home. They are being advertised separately and of course if the right homes come up will do that but have been talking to the foster and would love if possible for them to find a home together as they get on so well and have been together months now. They are both lovely and friendly with people dogs and children, not cat tested and fostered in Harrogate. Please can we have a big big share to see if we can make this happen as would be a dream come true.

Another big push for these two lovelies, They have been in foster for a while now and we would both loved to get them homed together as they are buddies. If you can foster please email Niz: animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com ref  Teo and Jessie or contact via the Animal Adoption International facebook page Thank you

Can you help Jack? A dog rescued from the cruel dog meat trade?

I have been asked to take two little dogs rescued from the dog meat trade in China. This is poignant with the Yulin festival about to start. The first is little Jack who was caught by his paw in a dog trap, a common method to catch dogs for the meat trade. Thankfully he was rescued before they came back to check the trap and now I have been begged to find him a foster as there is a flight volunteer flight available on the 23rd June. He is a shy little boy but non aggressive, just needs some love to get over his trauma. If you can foster please

Plz  email Niz: animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com ref Jack or contact via the Animal Adoption International facebook page .

Please Foster Sarah!

Would anyone like to do a good deed for the new year and offer this poor girl a foster home. Sarah was taken out of a Romanian shelter and then abandoned by the rescuer. She has been there a whole year now and my heart is breaking for her. She is a little nervous but no aggression in her. She is black and I fear no one will offer as she is not small and cute or amazingly pretty. I think black dogs are beautiful but never ever get offers to foster them when put up. Please share for her and PM if you can help. She can travel on the 8th of January and she also needs funds as well as a foster home £300 to get her prepped and here. If you can foster wonderful, if you can donate to her please do, paypal Animaladoptioninternational@yahoo.com and please mark for Sarah. FOSTER AND FUNDS in that order please please please.

Sarah has been waiting in a shelter in Romania now for nearly a year

This is Sarah, she has been waiting in a shelter in Romania now for nearly a year for someone to help her. She was initially taken out by mistake as the dog wanted was Snoopy but when this was discovered another 'rescuer' said they would take her on as she couldn't go back and even got a sponsor for the first three months which was not paid. Anyway I have said we will take her and will need to raise her transport but first we need a foster offer for her. She is shy but nothing nasty about her at all and just will need someone with patience and a secure house and love to give her. Please PM if you can help and please share for her, fostering saves lives guys.

Have a great life Babis!

So old boy Babis went off to his new home yesterday with his lovely new owner Margaret. Poor old boy was thrown in the shelter as a pup in Syros 8 years ago and has spent his whole life there. Luckily for him Cindy Ameyfrom K9 Aid and Debra Tuckett met him when they were visiting the shelter and sent him over to us to home. He apparently loves the underfloor heating in his new home. Thank you also to Sally Langran and Mike Langram for transporting and raising funds for him and as always to Linda Van Der Rietfor all her help with logistics. Have a great life Babis.
