AAI has been asked to help this lovely girl in Cyprus. She was found like this in the road and lucky for her a kind man found her and got her to a vet and she was lucky enough to make it to Jack Doe s care. We think she was kept in a cage as her nails were so long and then taken to a roadside and dumped. Jack has nursed her back to health and she can now travel to the UK on the 14th of October BUT we need a foster offer. She is timid and will be nervous at first so a degree of experience required and a safe secure garden. She will do better with other confident dogs and obviously no cats or kids. He will make a fabulous companion and although gets on great with dogs outside the home he would prefer to be the only dog as he loves attention. NO CATS or small furries. Unbelievably Ernie the 3 year old owner surrender is still looking for his home

 Unbelievably Ernie the 3 year old owner surrender is still looking for his home. He is a nice boy but should be the only dog in the house as although he is with other foster dogs he has been grumpy with 2 of them. He has no health issues, is clean in the house and walks well. He is fostered in Pontypridd.

We have been asked to help find a home for this lovely girl SARA.. She is a dream of a dog with no issues but her humans circumstances have changed and they are working 12 hour days and rightly feel it's not fair on her. Sara is...+ Female, spayed

+ 8 years old (estimated)

+ Very friendly with everyone

+ She is fine with other dogs

+ She doesn't mind cats

+ Currently living in the North of England however her adopter has had a change of circumstances and we are looking for a forever home for her as soon as possible.

+ She came to the UK from Suceava Public Shelter in December 2021

+ The vet & current owner suspects she is deaf and communicates mostly with sign language with her.

She would love a home with secure outside space she can relax in. Her favourite thing is to bask in the sun. She's an easy girl who loves people and loves a fuss and cuddle; and she loves car rides. She is worried by busy roads with lots of traffic, so would prefer a home outside of the inner-city.

Little Milo has had a chequered life

Little Milo has had a chequered life. He was rescued a few years ago from a camp where he lived his entire life in a crate. He was a mess when he came into rescue, hugely overweight with an untreated thyroid issue, bad teeth and luctating patella. Many vet trips later he was living his best life when recently disaster struck and he collapsed with a bad back. He was rushed to the vet who said he needed an operation NOW and the longer left the less chance of recovery. We got him an appointment at a specialist, it was bank holiday so that in itself was a miracle. After an MRI he was diagnosed with a slipped disc and if not operated on he would be left paralysed from the neck down. It was that or put to sleep so we went for the operation which cost £7500. We started fundraising immediately and paid a deposit but need to pay Milos bill off. Please help if you can, any amount helps and share for him . MILO DESERVES THE BEST.

So the beautiful Lola went off to her forever home yesterday, she will be very missed. I'm not going to say that fostering gets easier because it doesnt , each dog who heads off to their forever home takes a little piece of your heart with them. However when they go off with their new families and you think about where they have come from and how amazing they are to adapt to their new lives it makes it all totally worth it, please consider fostering cos it really does save lives,

Long John Silver update!

So we have fabulous news. Long John Silver has scored himself a fabulous home with a lady well versed in rescue dogs with bags of experience and happy to take on a dog that's a bit of an arse sometimes. Am so happy for him as its going to be a one to one, something I think he has always really needed. Onwards and upwards Long John and soon to be in a happy new home.

Things are really urgent now to find Mr Bumble a new home or foster. His mum died and by March he will need to be out of his home. He will not do well in kennel at all. He is initially nervous of people but warms up when ge gets to know you. He has been in his home with a few dogs and with good introductions gets on well with the, especially small ones. He likes to have his safe space to go such as a crate or under a bed. He can be an escape artist so will need a secure He is a lovely boy with a big personality and needs a little help right now. Can you foster for these 3 little munchkins? They need to stay together

 Looking g for a foster for these 3 little munchkins, note we want them to stay together. Their owner died in Romania and they were left alone for days without food or water. When the family did come they were going to be thrown in the public shelter but luckily a Romanian rescuer took them in but as you can see they are terrified and shaking in the shelter though. They are 3 small girls, used to living in a house and being pampered pets. They can leave Romania and the shelter in 3 weeks but badly need a foster. I would consider a forever home too as they have been house dogs, to the right home. Please PM if you can help these little tykes. We don't know if cat or child friendly.

Lily is safe now for the time being

Update on gorgeous Lily in Pakistan. Thanks to your donations Lily is safe and so loving its unbelievable after all she has suffered. Quite a few people have suggested she is one of the dogs sent from Ireland to Pakistan for racing. This disgusting trade needs to stop and defra should be doing something about it. She is eating well and getting medical care. We have raised £230 which is great but a drop in the ocean to what we need which will run in possibly to a couple of thousand ultimately to get her to the uk. Starving girl in Pakistan

This heartbreaking post was sent to me and is the first of 2 harrowing stories we have agreed to help in Pakistan. This girl is the least harrowing of the two and so posting first. She was found like this in the grounds of a university and obviously starving. The wonderful caring girl in the video shot this in the hope she could get help for her. AAI have agreed to help and bring her to the UK and she's now been taken to a wonderful shelter run by the most amazing lady called Zeba. I am hoping we can help this shelter in the future. For now we have named this girl Lily and she is safe but she will need a lot of care to get her back to health and to start her prep so she can come to the UK. We are going to need a lot of fundraising for her and the second case and I hope we can do it in this climate. little Tuca Update

Picked up little Tuca today who just arrived from Romania, thank you Michelle and delivered her to her foster. Shes a bit worried but reassured by her big foster sisters Tilly and Gladys. She's super sweet and will be looking for her home I imagine in a few weeks.
